Hi, I’m Rebecca.

I’m an aspiring urban designer with a passion for sustainability in the natural and built environments.

I would like to facilitate the development of urban environments that defy the ubiquitous artificial dichotomy between humanity & nature

I believe cities flourish when they are functionally integrated, interconnected, self-sustaining systems, similar to ecosystems found in nature. I believe people flourish in accessible and diverse environments that prioritize the preservation and integration of native flora and fauna. coexist

My goal is to prioritize the coexistence of people and planet simultaneously through sustainable, equitable, and biophilic, design strategies.

In addition to biophilic design, I am also passionate about pedestrian and cyclist safety and mobility.

Upon spending much of my adult life in Charleston, South Carolina, I’ve heard about, and personally experienced an alarming amount of unsafe behavior from local drivers. This comes as no surprise for the 12th-deadliest metropolitan area in the country*.

With this knowledge, I hope to be able to design spaces that limit the power of the automobile and instead prioritize pedestrian/cyclist safety and mobility.

*Charleston/North Charleston is the 12th most dangerous metro region in the nation for pedestrians, according to Smart Growth America's Dangerous by Design 2026 report

do not run across a crosswalk apologetically. you are of this earth and walk among her choir. the devils commanding their wretched chariots have long since severed the roots of their flesh and need a reminder that a leisurely stroll triumphs the roar of their insatiable machines.
